Thanks Wendy! We had a great time. The accommodations were as described, plus some!!
Tara and Presley Mallett, September 2011
We had a wonderful time on your beautiful beach. It was a perfect weekend & location for a wedding. The accommodations were exactly what we needed and very conveniently located for all wedding associated activities. Thank you for your help and we will likely see you again!

We had a great time. Even though it was overcast, it worked out better for Blue (Great Dane). He is used to A/C and the heat got to him. He didn't care for the water much, but I think if our trip had been longer he would have gotten to love it. The accommodations were perfect for us, very clean and comfortable. He really was an attraction on the beach, was well mannered and played will with the bigger dogs. The little ones growled and barked at him and he would come running back to us.
We loved the Trading Post (NOTE: this is 1 of the 2 convenience stores on the Cape). The folks running it are very nice and their kids loved Blue. We definitely think this will be our vacation spot & will be in touch. It's a great place for us, pets, children and grandkids. I love where you take the little ones out and they can have a little freedom.
Again, thanks for the ease and help you gave us trying a new place and for helping us with what we needed for our trip!

We enjoyed the stay at the Cape and especially at Sea Breeze! I will definitely keep that particular condo on the list for future rentals.
The wedding was all that we could have hoped for -- perfect weather, perfect accommodations at the clubhouse and all the people who were staying at the Cape were so nice!
Thank you for your hospitality and you can bet we will be back soon.

The condo is very easy to relax in and comfortable to live in. The location was perfect! We walked the beach every day, picnicked in the park and at the lighthouse, rode our bikes several times in the park and on the bike trail, ate shrimp from the Piggly Wiggly several times and had to return 3 times to the Chocolate Company in Apalachicola. The setting is just what we like. Next time I'll bring a mat and join the exercise class. Thanks for everything!

We had a terrific time at Sea Breeze during our first vacation to your area. The accommodations were excellent; very clean with an excellent layout. The area is so beautiful and the town of Port St. Joe was terrific in terms of restaurants and shopping for food and gifts. The Port St. Joe Country Club provided a nice golf course alternative for anyone interested in this activity. The Barrier Dunes complex is a perfect size with 2 nice pools and tennis courts. The temperatures were generally in teh 60's, plenty warm for us to walk several times daily on the most beautiful beach we have encountered. The other guests were always friendly and the dog situation is handled very effectively by all.
We check other potential accommodation options in the area and determined Barrier Dunes provided the best vacation spot for us in the future. Your handling of our stay was excellent. The whole experience was everything expected from our many conversations prior to our arrival. Because we were new to this area, your advice was accurate and sincerely appreciated!

We had a wonderful time there and we absolutely will be coming back. I loved Apalach, the restaurants and the shopping. We had a great massage in Port St. Joe. His name is David Oakley at the Donamelia salon. Next time we go I want to go fishing and do the horseback riding on the beach. I also adopted a dog from the Humane Society while I was there and she's been great! Four months old, part Lab, part Catahoula and my Golden loves her. We loved the shopping up there too. We were surprised. The people were wonderful, so nice everywhere we went. Anyway, thank you so much!
Danny & Maura Walker (and Blue & Gabby), September 2008
This was a great vacation. I'm not sure if it was because of the sueason, but at time it was like we were the only people on the beach (which we like). So that was great for the dogs who could run and swim as they pleased. I'm sure it was the best vacation they had so far. We will definitely be back. Thanks again.
Robin Holley, September 2008
The trip was wonderful. Thank you again. We had great weather and did a lot of nothing. Every day was split between the beach and the pool and back and forth. We went to 3 restaurants and am drawing a blank on my favorite one. It was just inside of Port St. Joe and looked out on the water. (Note from Wendy: I think they are talking about Sunset Coastal Grill--great views and great food!) As I mentioned (on the phone), the boat ride was really exciting. Seeing the dolphins swimming and playing around us was unreal. I'm attaching some pictures of everyone playing on the beach and a few of the dolphins.
Thanks again for everything and I am definitely saving all your information for a future trip!

The Holley family, including their beautiful golden retriever, making some great memories with a fall beach trip!

Thanks again for accommodating us at the last minute. We hadn't planned to go to the Cape but we're glad we did. Patty and I both had a wonderful time there. Patty traditionally likes to spend the Labor Day weekend in Key West but I talked her into going to the Panhandle instead. We'll stay longer the next time we come.
We met Donna on the way out. That was great. She's from South FLA too. She told us how much she loved the area and how happy she was to be there.
Kerri Heiden, June/July 2008 (McDonough, GA)
The Cape and The Cape Escape were more than we expected. Truly, we were swepts away. I had not imagined in all of my mind to feel so safe, so welcome to a community of which I had never been. My family and I were double-taken at the sincerity throughout all guests we met and their seemingly intered nature in who we were and "oh, your dogs are so beautiful.' We ALL lust loved our stay. Our experience was heart-warming. As we drove away, my daughter yelled from the backseat, 'Goodbye vacation house, see you later...'
We had an amazing evening when we were able to share with a great family we met on the beach. Ryan built a fire in the sand to roast marshmallows and we soaked up 'together' time as a family, dogs included. We were excited and very surprised to see how uncrowded the beach was. Such a warm, cozy feeling.
All the amenities were so awesome and ever so appreciated. Seahorse Water Safaris was a sheer BLAST---goodness! A BLAST!! SUPER service too, they were great to us!
SO many great memories Wend. As we were packing up to come back home we realized that our extra popsicles would not go with us, as they were never survive the heat, so we hit the beach and began to pass them all out. My daughter was so eager to use her "nice manners and share." She said, 'Mommy, some people may not have things like this so I think it would be a good idea to share...' So sweet, melted my heart!
Thank you for being a part! I'll send you pictures as soon as the busy work week ahead comes to a halt!
Your place is extraordinary!
Julia & Ivan Espada, April 23 - May, 3, 2007 (Newlyweds :-) )
Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a wonderful place! It was definitely what we needed! We got way too much sun the first day we were there because it as overcast outside and we didn't realize until that evening that we were burned! Ivan went fishing almost every day that he was there. He caught quite a few catfish, some sort of other fish with a black tip on it's fin and about 3 small sharks! He only kept 1 fish and that was a 15 lb redfish! We met a lot of nice people on the beach.
Our Great Dane, Spartan, had a wonderful time! He was a little bit afraid of the ocean at first but by the last day he was getting a bit brave! You would think a dog that size wouldn't be afraid of much but he's the biggest baby I've ever known. He was actually quite the movie star around there. Everywhere we went with him people would say "Oh, looks like a dog we saw on the beach this morning!" He's a very handsome boy and very, very unique looking. We only had 1 day of calm waters. I think there was a storm out there some where, but that as OK with Ivan, he still went fishing everyday.
Once again, thank you so much and I look forward to contacting you again somewhere down the road so that we can come and visit again!

Missy Goodwin and Family - November 2007
Oh my goodness - we had a great, great time. The weather was beautiful and we couldn't have had a better week. We felt so safe with a gated community! The beaches were spectacular and clean and the shelling was so much fun. We loved Indian Pass Raw Bar. We loved Apalachicola. We had so much fun watching your bonfires from our deck.
We will definitely be back and will send some pictures for your website!
